Of Creatures Created, Summoned or Returned from Beyond the Grave

Much like the case for mythological beast, theories run rampant about the origins and very existence of Spirits, Ghosts, Demons, etc. Theologians are just as invested in these debates as Thaumatologists, the ramifications are substantial should either side gain definitive evidence, which is the primary reason magic is so hotly controversial amongst religious fundamentalists. No matter their origin, the following is an attempt to classify such beings.

Creations are inanimate objects (usually, but not always, crafted by the spell caster) brought to a semblance of life through magic. Creations are affected by Path of Matter or Body effects.

Spirits are creatures of magic (usually, but not always, brought to this world by a Path of Crossroads Effect), seemingly summoned from another plane of existence. Spirits are affected by Path of Spirit effects.

Undead Undead are the remains of once living creatures (physical or incorporeal) that are still functioning in the world through the use of magic.
